Hello, I am Olivia, representing a group of five 16 year old students who want to make a difference in our society. We are campaigning in the hopes of raising awareness and support for our idea of reforming prisoners. Many of these will have committed minor crimes that have resulted in their incarceration and therefore can be easily and safely helped to change their ways for the better. Our aim is to do reform through various forms of education, hence the title, with a good example of this would be simply making items such as educational books available to them when they may want/require them. We believe that this would benefit not only their lives but as a result ours also as we could help to provide them with a new start and with their new found knowledge, new opportunities to grasp that can benefit their communities and as a result, society as a whole. Please sign if you agree with our campaign to rehabilitate prisoners to show your support for the idea, it may seem like a waste of time, effort and money but if this does not happen, we fear that it will simply end in the same amount or an increase re-committed and first time crimes, therefore making the world less safe ad secure, whilst also draining government money and time which could be put to better use. Simply providing books or classes within prisons and for those likely to enter a prison facility in the near future can make a major difference to every life, everyone is affected by it even if not directly and therefore everybody should come together to help improve it for a better country (UK) and world.
