I am type one diabetic. These new restrictions make it increasingly difficult to be able to eat the right portions and foods to maintain healthy blood sugars.

While I think this new policy came with good intentions from the DC staff, I have mostly seen negative effects on the students, each of which pays a lot of money for the convenience of the DC.
On Wednesdays and Fridays, I have 20 minutes between returning from my off-campus job and the start of my first class of the day; with this new program, I was stuck with cereal and a salad for lunch. While I am grateful for the alternatives available, I am paying for full access, and I this new policy does not allow for me to get what I pay for.

I'm signing this, because I'm 20 going on 21, and I'm a physics major who should be capable of being responsible with my own food. The only reason I even eat in the DC is because it's convenient and efficient. Taking out part of the efficacy of the system for a "professionalism" I neither expect nor desire is not helping.

Although I see why the DC implemented these changes they are creating huge lines. As a student who has limited time for lunch this could keep me from being able to get food some lunches

Huge waste of time. Saving money by keeping students from eating the hot food and instead eat cheap cereal and pizza.

I'm so tired of Weatmont making changes without consulting it's paying customers. It really needs to stop. We pay so much money to go here and I feel like I have no say in anything.

I agree with the general sentiment that it would be nice for the administrators to ask for student body input BEFORE implementing major changes.

This new system is inefficient, ridiculous, poorly thought out, unfair, and will only SERVE to dissatisfy and frustrate students and workers alike. I object.

I hope this change will be terminated quickly and effectively. Westmont has made a few major changes without prior warning and it is getting old. Let people scoop their own food and stop trying to make changes just for the sake of changing the status quo. Keeping things the way they are isn't a threat; if a system works you keep it, not throw it out.

I wish they would stop treating us like children and just ask us what we want, rather than implementing new strategies "for our benefit" based on assumptions. Also, I wish they would allow us to have voices on the matter; they keep making decisions without warning the student body beforehand. We are adults, and we are able to understand complex issues such as food waste, and we don't need strict policies to change, we just need to be reminded of the implications of our actions.

It's a slow service and you don't get the amount of food that you pay for and the DC is expensive.

Why can't I serve my own food? I already avoid long lines due to time constrictments and these changes are only making the lines longer.

I stood in line and asked the server two times to put more rice on my plate today. The servers literally look at you and decide how much food someone "your size" would eat. By standing there and asking for more of something and less of something else, it waits time and annoys the server...I could tell haha.

REALLY important for people with eating disorders and other mental health issues that could basically hinder them from wanting to just get food. It will be a greater burden to them, another mountain they have to climb that day.
