I already bought my ticket to go back to my country and I don't think I can changw it. Even if I can change mine, still there will be lot of people who cannot.

What frustrates me the most about all of this is the fact that they are somehow making it work for Atlanta to make up all of their missing classes within the original time frame of the quarter. I get that they have one less class to make up but if they can find a way to make up two classes, they can find a way to make up three. I also understand that Atlanta has a smaller student body so it would be easier to schedule classes for less people but because SCAD has a larger population, more people are affected by travel plan changes, appointments made months in advance, and solid commitments. If the added weeks really are the only way to solve this, then there needs to be some way to utilize the eLearning "campus" so that those of us who absolutely cannot change our schedule can still enjoy the fine classes that SCAD has to offer with little penalty in grade.

Refuse the decision of extending the quarter.

I've already filled out job applications that I'll be ready by that time. It would also require I pay another months rent just for one week of schooling. This is not the solution.

The new schedule will cost me hundreds of dollars. I'd be more comfortable having make up classes on Friday all quarter.

As an international student. I have already planned the ticket to go out of state for the break. And set up the time schedule. Another week or two weeks of class is just too much time shifting for me to handle.

Defini not going to have some happy students. SCAD is not only going to ruin family time but they won't even relax on the absence points. People have already decided on doctors appointments, surgeries they can't even move...and they want to move finals to that week? I get it. You have to have finals some time right? But you can't force your students to cancel important life details so that they can finish some faulty scheduling. Some schools factor in snow storm days into a possible schedule. SCAD needs to figure this out ahead of time for hurricane season as well. They know they are I the hurricane region. This schedule should not have been a procrastination nor should it have such a negative impact on the students. Also, what about those with internships starting for the winter?

the extra charge caused by the change of flight is basically unaffordable. i hope scad will allow international students to have their affected classes online.

It is hard juggling 5 jobs, plus workload, plus trying to graduate, plus finally being able to maybe to celebrate Thanksgiving that doesn't involve grieving the suicide of my only son, which occurred this time of year. This throws a huge monkey wrench into everything. It was YOUR decision to close campus, cancel classes and evacuate the student body...yet WE are the ones who may suffer financially in one way or another. I ask that you reconsider this plan and maybe offer another alternative such as actually opening g all the buildings and studios to be 24/7 and making lecture classes online so it's easier to get your work done. Thank you.

Surgery planned with a large fee to change it. Keeping us until November 22nd is fine, but allow us to combine that with 4 makeup classes on Friday for the extra week you want us to come back for.

My little sister is at SCAD and this change to the schedule would greatly impact our family. We have already purchased flights home and it would be horribly inconvenient to not only reschedule those flights but purchase additional flights a week later, as well. There are also a significant number of international students who will not be able to change their flights or get a refund on tickets already purchased. Not to mention the economic hardship placed on all students who had to make last minute evacuation plans. I'm sure SCAD is doing everything in their power to find the best solution and my family had been so pleased with the handling of evacuation. Since we are in Texas, it lessened our anxiety knowing that Annie would be well taken care of. Still, making these changes to the academic calendar cannot be the best solution. Students with special circumstances should not be expected to suffer economically or academically to accommodate these changes.

Classes did not need to be cancelled an extra week AFTER the hurricane - and it is unfair to force students to stay additional time to make up for time off that was unnecessary in the first place.

This causes a huge conflict for us. My student'21st birthday present is a trip to Italy to see the beautiful art that he is learning about. We were supposed to leave on November 30. I have saved a long time for this being a single parent. I will lose thousands of dollars because it is too late to get a refund on the travel.
