Referendum To Maintain Original End Of Fall 2016 Quarter

I do not have the financial means to pay for flight home for only three days and losing out valuable work time

This is a huge disrespecful decision to all SCAD international students. This is not only about our vacation plan got ruined. It is about money and time. SCAD must come up with a better idea.

Perhaps we could shift the course times and add an hour to each of them as well as having friday make up courses... Using this method we would make up 4 hours of each course missed (assuming we did not do this during finals week), and then utilize the remaining fridays to make up the remaining courses as well. Also, perhaps teachers could be asked to record lectures in a digital medium for the courses that can't be held in class. This is certainly not convenient for the staff, but it is frugal in comparison to rebooking international flights and domestic travel plans. It would work as goes: 8am courses go from 6-9:30, 11am courses go from 10-1:30, 2pm courses go from 2-5:30, 5pm courses go from 6-9:30. . . Courses would go late but we wouldn't have to adjust our flights nor miss family reunions, weddings, hospital visits, doctors appointments, internships, all the things that make life beautiful and rewarding.

The schedule change affects way too much including three airplane tickets I have already paid for plus I'll be missing a family member's graduation and a concert already paid for. Having classes on Friday would be a much better choice.

I can't accept this class extension. As I'm an international student, I can't change my plan. I belive that other international students would have same opinion as me.

I have made travel plans and if they are changed i will lose all of my money..

This new schedule hugely affects my winter plan. I have already purchased flight ticket back to my country.

With just over a month before the break, us parents would have to change flights, AT OUR EXPENSE. Please leave it as is. It also disrupts Holiday plans other family members may have made. Thank you

I already bought the flights back to my hometown. I only can go back home once a year. I have to take 3 flights over 20 hours. And they take over thousand dollars. It doesn't just mean a break, also the only time that I can spend with my families. I hope SCAD don't change the day for break.

Don't extended this quarter plz! I have bought to tickets back to China.

We don't mind classes on fridays...but please end the quarter by thanksgiving

There are better options such as a digital check-in system like online classes do along with weekend classes.

Friday and Saturday classes!!! Please!

This is just ridiculous, people have plans for thanksgiving with family and friends, some of which take place out of the country and are already booked. Give me Friday or Saturday classes, don't make us leave for vacation then come back for 4 measly days. It's just looks bad.

As a former college administrator I understand the problem. SCAD went above and beyond for the 3,000 evacu-bees and I am grateful. But private college schools are at the mercy of those who pay the bills. Please reconsider.

I already have my plane ticket for Colombia, and a family event planned around my date of return, which I can not miss. Also I Would have to pay the fine for a very expensive ticket, which is what us international students have to pay to return home.
