This is not fair. I, as well as many, students am not financially capable of this decision. There are other options of going about this and I highly suggest we consider those.

This is very sad for the students that won't get to go home for Thanksgiving. I don't think this was thought out at all!

I have a fashion show in Delaware that gives me a chance to win scholarship money. If I don't get that chance then I won't have the money to stay at SCAD.

Completely unfair and negligible. Scad cancelled classes on Wednesday even though the city of Savannah didn't require evacuation until Thursday afternoon, we could make up the classes on fridays and add a few days before Thanksgiving to make for a more sensible plan. Also scad could write off a few of the makeup days seeing as how I spend he majority of my time in class as a work day and could have just as easily worked from home. I didn't have the money to weather out the storm and I do not have the money to stay in Savannah for scads unthoughtful plan.

I have a ticket for India on November 18 and I cannot stay back since I can't afford to pay for the extending ticket fair. Also it's my best friends wedding which I cannot miss at any cost.

Please! I will work Fridays and Saturdays before I miss thanksgiving with my family. This could be my last with a few of my family members.

We are only alloted so much money for the quarter, after being displaced due to a natural disaster which was an unexpected expense now the quarter has been extended almost 2 weeks. It's financially impossible.

SCAD has to consider everyone's travel situation because of the scheduled family events.

The new break is causing me to not be able to go home to my family for Thanksgiving- this is absolutely unacceptable

I get that this is what they feel is right but so many students got boned because they already had tickets and they cost a lot to change, we are not made of money.

Due to hurricane Matthew and SCAD Savanah's decision to extend classes another week and a half after quarter students are being put under more stress than necessary. Many students already have plans and commitments, like myself, who can't afford (quite literally) to change them at this point. I myself had been looking into a short trip to LaCoste through SCAD over thanksgiving with other personal commitments following directly after. I urge students and administration to seek a different solution to accommodate as many of their students and faculty as possible
