I have already purchased a ticket to return home to Virginia for thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is big in my household and my parents will not be pleased

I already bought tickets back to China! The tickets can't be changed time or returned! It's very expensive for me! I don't have extra money to buy other tickets!

This is a huge thing to ask of so many students, teachers and international students with pre bought tickets. It makes more sense to make up classes on Fridays and stay an extra day than two whole weeks.

While I understand the need for extra classes, this is wildly inconvenient for the majority of students. I don't have the money to fly home for both thanksgiving and Christmas and this is the only time I get to see my family for the majority of the school year. I would much rather have classes on Fridays and maybe Saturdays, and would even be okay with classes going until November 22nd. But coming back just for four days after that just doesn't make sense.

fridays and elearning will be good. I already bought round trips tickets. The whole family has been excited waiting for me back home.

Being there left only 5 weeks of the quarter (originally) as an international student I believe it is possible to fit those classes on Fridays for the remaining weeks. Alternating MW and TR classes each Friday (example: Friday oct 21 make up for MW class, OCT 28 TR, Nov 4 MW, Nov 11 TR, Nov 18 MW, and the remaining TR class on a saturday before the 18th).

I am a parent and I feel this decision needs to be reconsidered. I don't want the kids under more stress, but there has to be a better way. Perhaps the last week online.

I really can't accept this decision. I've already booked my tickets to go back to China. It's a big money to reschedule it.

Days can be made up on Fridays. Having kids go home for a week for a US National holiday and then come back for 4 days in UNACCEPTABLE. SCAD needs to put more thought into this.

The schedule change that SCAD has instituted would cost me at LEAST $4,000. All of us broke college kids simply can't afford this.
