Referendum To Maintain Original End Of Fall 2016 Quarter

I have already bought the fly ticket on Nov. 18th. The new schedule will leads to a waste of money.

It's not that I consider scads decision unfair, but I think weekend makeup classes would be a challenge most students would willingly accept to maintain their original schedules for the year.

I plan to travel to New York on November 18.

This undesirable change to extend the semester will prove to be a large financial burden for me and others! Please find a better solution.

This (hurricane Matthew), without a doubt, has been a great inconvenient for the quarter schedule and sadly we have lost class but due to an issue that is above and beyond our control. I most definitely agree that classes should be recuperated but not by extending this quater's date that has been so strictly set as always. Extending thistle quarter date would be a huge incovenient for every single person.

I have already bought the airplane ticket and it is unrefundable. Thanks for consideration.

Instead of having us come back, online classes where professors either teach live in a classroom on BlackBoard, or recordings would be preferred and way more convenient not only for students, but also professors who also have families and may have had plans as well.

I have international ticket which is nonrefundable and embassy appointment

This decision is completely unfair to international students and students on tighter budgets who have already book tickets home. SCAD needs to find a better solution. Weekend classes would be a better solution.

I am an alumni and this is outragous. Do not do this to your students who have already made financial arrangements for non refundable flights and plans for break.

This is poor planning, yes we need to make up the classes we have lost but it is not our fault and we shouldn't be forced into a plan that messes up plans and family time for the students. Not only will it cost students an excessive amount of money to travel home and back for the holidays (getting home for thanksgiving and then coming back to campus, as well as leaving after the quarter is over for the winter holidays), but it limits some students from even going home to be with their family during an important time. A time where some families travel to visit and have thanksgiving dinner with grandparents, aunts and uncles, and extended family.

I already brought the ticket back to china and already find the job during winter break. If I cannot back to china, I will suffer sime losses.

I cannot accept this dicision I have travel plan already and baught ticket too

I booked the ticket already! International ticket! Do you know how much for it?

Making this change in schedule poses a financial hardship to my family.
