The fact that my friend Jordan can not see his children perform in their school play and spend time with them on.one of their birthdays because of this change makes them hurt

My parents and my girlfriend parents already purchased flight tickets (5,000 dollars) for visiting with me, if SCAD still extend the fall quarter, we will lose these money

I have many friends who have already bought expensive tickets to go home and now I'm losing almost all my time to work over the break by losing these two weeks.

I think we can easily meet half way. We can use THREE OF OUR MAKEUP FRIDAYS to cover three of the days of class we missed and EXTEND THE QUARTER THREE DAYS to make up for the rest. This would leave Fall quarter to end Wednesday November 23rd in time for Thanksgiving. This way we are utilizing the time already setup for events like this anyway but leaving some Fridays, so we do not overwork ourselves. We would not have to feel pressure pay for a round trip home or feel bad about not being with our families on a holiday. We will still have to pay $150 to reschedule flights.

for the days we missed we should just have Friday classes as well as a Saturday when needed. We already had to pay a lot of money due to hurricane Mathew and having to evacuate. Making us stay and have to pay to get new flights and miss time with our families because some people simply can't afford to get new tickets. Scad is already expensive as it is adding on $1000s of dollars for travel plans simply can't be done.
