I am an competent nurse. It's my dream to work in abroad. Though ,IELTS is a main hurdle for now. I wrote IELTS thrice and everytime i don't qualify reading part(band7) . There should be a reduction in band requirement of IELTS. As we are already giving CBT, OSCE to showcase our nursing field knowledge.

I strongly believe that those countries that use English language as their official language do have to write IELTS for whatever reason.

The score band must be reviewed and dropped to 6.0 since it's not for competency.
I append my signature as a matter of concern

We use English as a medium of communication and learning and hence should be granted an exception in the ielts score.

Writing and reading should be reduced to 6. Especially writing.

I got very good bands in L 8, W 7, S 7.5 and failed R 6.5 because at some point I was disoriented in the exam hall and that affected my understanding. Failing reading does not mean i have poor usage of English. This needs to be looked into

If in the 90s nurses migrated to work Europe without the IELTS then what difference is there now that they gave to put such a difficult exam with only less than a quarter who sit for the examination passing it. If there is really shortage of nurses in Europe like they would want us to believe then they should at least ease the pass mark of this exam.
I do l agree the score is too high
