Reduction of IELTS score band for NON EUROPEAN Nurses.

Even a native English speaker will struggle to make a band 7/9. Nurses do not require this level of English competence to practice. Also IELTS is gradually becoming a money making business I fear.

Pls reduce ielts band for NON European nurses

I stand with this...

Many of us spoke English in school and undertook our courses in English. Setting such a high level score not only pre-suggests that there's little faith in the English we were taught in, but also implies that we're probably not good enough. I've met a lot of British high school students who can barely write a complete sentence without a typographical error. I mean we see them all the time. Not to get political, but as a fact even the president of the United States has so many typos on his Twitter page despite his impeccable English. I agree there should be the exams to identify those who can't speak the English language properly, but there are many more who are bamboozled, deterred from taking the test at all and others who are simply skeptical about the treatment they'll receive on arrival if even the first hurdle carries so many negative connotations
