We the students of MGM would like to thank the College Administration of MGM's College of Engineering Nanded (MGMCOE) for taking the timely decision of conducting the upcoming semester online.

We would like to bring to your notice the fact that due to this pandemic, the families of many of students whose income source is primary are affected the most. Also, majority of the students of our college have faced financial problems due to businesses closing down, reduction of salaries, etc.

Also, since the semester would be conducted online, students will have to bear a quite high amount of charges for getting an uninterrupted internet facility as well as getting various softwares, resources and study material.

Further the facilities such as library, laboratory, internet are totally campus based.

  • In view of the above, it is earnestly requested that the fees for the above-mentioned facilities be waived off by at least 50%.
  • Also, there are students who avail education loan and then pay the fees. Due care should also be taken for them by coordinating with the bank and extending credit facility to them.

This would give some relief to parents of our students.

Also,AICTE has appealed technical institutions to not collect fees until lockdown ends-

Thanking you

We just hit 100 signatures and the administration at MGM is already feeling the heat. They think they can squeeze us for full fees while the campus sits empty but they are dead wrong.

The management at MGM continues to ignore our reality while they hoard our money for facilities we cannot even touch. Their silence is a calculated insult to every student struggling to pay tuition during this financial collapse.

There are no classes running, no labs, nor any energy consuming devices in the campus. So to charge lump sum amount of fees as per normal situation is very unprofessional and unethical. Charging full fees for just online classes that too when no resources have been provided for the same. Is this morally right? Hope this dissent will not affect on our internals.
