It just doesn’t make any sense for all of us to pay the same amount when we have to do the teaching at home and the school’s running costs have been heavily reduced. I have a son in FS1 and the assignments he get sent to him do not justify the fee at all.

This is a fair demand. Considering my Kids attending FS; where parents are doing all the efforts for online learning along with managing the home and office work , we feel the school charging full 3rd semester fee does not justify the service we are getting

have 2 kids studying at Kings Al Barsha for last 5 years. Have lost my job recently, hence, request for a reasonable reduction in fees.

Whole heartedly support this petition. Although I have every sympathy for king’s teaching and support staff, the King’s board view is just so disappointing, disconnected and unsympathetic towards the King’s parents in this Covid induced economic climate. As is expected the situation is largely fluid where parents that are working have had been made redundant, slashed pay cuts or put on temporary leave. That situation will no doubt progressively worsen as the economic climate starts biting even more. I commend that the Kings board reconsider their position. Like all commercial enterprises Kings does have a commercial imperative to protect its ‘investors’, look after its staff, but it is equally important to understand that like every other business they also have a moral duty of care towards the children under their care. This I believe would help towards subverting any reputational damage.

My salary has been reduced by 50% and Emirates doesnt fund the full amount for schooling therefore I have to pay out of my back pocket.
I am left with hardly any money each month and I'm the sole income in my house here and also have to pay my mortgage back home whilst this crisis is ongoing.

Most schools applied 20/30% discount which it is absolutely possible to sustain a discount to work with

Educating our kids is a partnership. There is not a single parent or organization in the UAE that will not be affected adversely by the financial situation that is coming. A lot of you are parents too. You can see whats going on. We should not have to jump through all these hoops.

As Kings are unable to deliver the service they’ve charged all the families for surely they should make an adjustment to the fees to reflect must this fact.
