Reduce Traffic & Road Damage on Sandy Lane – Reed’s School Must Switch to Minibuses!

It’s a tiny road and not made for large vehicles.

The coaches are just to big for Sandy Lane, they are not safe.

I live on Sandy Lane. The busses that Reeds School use are way too big for Sandy Lane. They are dangerous as they can’t keep to their lane on parts of the road. They expect oncoming cars to mount the curb their side so they can pass. Someone will get hurt or worse one day.

Disgusted by coach size allowed to pass & frequency ! Outrageous to see this ruining our neighbourhood they need mini buses with limited speed. It’s paramount to address this issue.

These buses are far too big to be using Sandy Lane. They block the flow of traffic, damage the road and the trees and make the road completely unsafe for other road users.

They are destroying our ecosystem

These buses feel so large they are intimidating and often push me off the road in my mini! They damage the paths and I expect all the improvements to the road and edging will be for nothing if these enormous coaches continue.

I am amazed there have not been serious accidents. Unfortunately, we live in a world in which nothing happens until someone is killed. It would be nice to think action can be taken before this happens.

The size of the buses make the road impassable at certain times of the day. They cause cars coming in the opposite direction to have to go off road to avoid them and generally contribute to the disrepair of Sandy Lane's surface. The most obvious solution is for the School to act in the interests of its neoghbours and use smaller buses to transport students.

As highlighted to our local councillor, the huge size of buses used to transport the attendees at Reed’s School is totally inappropriate for Sandy Lane. Mini buses only and a different route would be the sensible and effective option

The buses are too big for the road width, forcing other drivers to ramp what will now be a significant kerb. They are also mostly only part filled and could be replaced with smaller mini buses. Alternatively, the buses should take another route.

The large school buses cause so much distribution to local residents, they are dangerous for cyclists and hikers on a popular narrow residential road, and they destroy the road surface, which is clear and evident.

The large buses going to Reeds School are too wide and big for Sandy Lane. These buses will inevitably lead to damage of the expensive new kerbs and road just laid down, in the near future. It is impossible for both vehicles and buses to pass safely without one having to mount the kerb! We suggest that Reeds School use smaller/mini buses to transport their school passengers!
