We, the homeowners on Lake Somerset, Michigan, petition the city to reduce the speed limit on Northmoor Drive, Cement City, MI from 45 to 25 mph. The current posted speed limit is a real danger to the residents in our subdivision. We have many people who walk their dogs, children that ride their bicycles and multiple bus stops on this neighborhood street. We believe that decreasing the speed limit will help ensure the safety of our children and others and will be proactive in eliminating potential tragedies.
