Farm manure contaminates Maryland rivers and the Chesapeake Bay and threatens public health.

Pollution from manure causes algae blooms that kill crabs, oysters and other aquatic life – and causes toxic algae like in Toledo, Ohio. Don’t let that happen in Maryland!

Experts say a new rule to better control manure and drastically reduce phosphorus pollution is one of the biggest opportunities to clean up the Chesapeake Bay and local waters in more than 30 years.

Governor O’Malley has committed to implementing the new rule before the end of his term, but twice already the Administration has stopped the rule from moving forward – and powerful special interest groups want to kill it altogether.

Tell Governor O’Malley you support his promise to enact the new Bay-saving phosphorus rule this year.
