Reduce parking at IHS Campus

Substantially increased parking fees added on to a now longer commute (both distance AND adding 10-15 minutes to walk from the far away parking lot), creates resentment and negativity. Parking should be first come first served, not punishing employees at the IHS campus by making them park far away and walk in all kinds of northeast weather to get to work.

There has been no transparency on this issue, and nothing that makes sense for the students, staff, and faculty on the IHS campus as a whole. There is no reason to have a more expensive permit than other Seton Hall students and employees without sufficient explanation.

Parking for everyone; all employees, staff, students and administration should be first come parking not a designated parking area a mile away

The faculty should not be penalized for working at the IHS campus. This is not a choice.

At the very least, it seems appropriate to provide the faculty and staff a justification for increase in rates to only part of the employees of the Seton Hall University community. In fact, considering the adjustment being asked of faculty and staff and the availability of parking near the building (not to mention with increased commute time, difficulty accessing rooms, time taken to get basics like water and tea/coffee, and lack of food options on site), it is surprising that the university didn't offer a parking discount while employees transition and adjust to their new place of work. I would like to also pose questions of how research assistant volunteers and other part-time or temporary staff are expected to fit into this fee structure? The IHS campus was meant to bring a wide range of people together, but that is made difficult by fees that are not a small amount for such categories of employees.

It is important to ensure that your employees are happy. We're being charged at such a high rate for parking spaces that guarantee us steaming steering wheels and seats by the time we leave for the day. A charge of close to $500 is not employee-friendly. Please consider making the fee the same as the SO Campus.

The university should allow employees to chose the parking permit combination that works best for us: 1. SO only; 2. IHS only; 3. Hackesack facilities. Allowing us to select 1 or 2 only, 1+2 or 1+2+3 would have prevented this petition.

I feel the employees parking fees should be the same as the South Orange employees.

Cost of parking went up ridiculously as compared to previous years. Price is too high.

I would have to pay double, as I also have to pay for my daughter soon beginning at the IHS campus. Paying the cost of $485 twice (on a single, widowed income), we just can't afford these costs at our Administration and Staff levels of pay. We are employed by Seton Hall University, and my daughter goes to Seton Hall University. We should be able to pay Seton Hall University (South Orange campus) prices for parking. We appreciate anything that can be done to make this fair . Thank you
