We residents of Ethekwini pay exhorbitant highest property rates in the whole of South Africa, that's ridiculous and we have right to demand municipality reduces all our tariffs.
Our people cannot afford this and yet why are we complacent. We need to take action now.
We have been embarking on a Petition vigorously to bring down the municipal tariffs

Email your local ward representative today to demand they address these unsustainable tariff increases. Pressure from the community is the only way to force the municipality to reconsider these rates.

We hit a major milestone today that proves the municipality can no longer ignore our demands for lower tariffs. Call your local ward councillor this afternoon and tell them you refuse to pay these inflated rates.

Yes...we need the tariff to be reduced....our utilities go up every year as well as food and everything else...but the salaries dont...so please help by reducing the tariff.
Only 2 people working, we cook on gas, watch how we use water but still the bill is so high, we can't afford to pay
There's nobody working at home due to the unrest so it's going to be next to impossible for us to pay so much
Decrease our rates people are struggling to put food on the table but the government wants to charge us exorbitant fees for trying to cover up what they stold
I would like to sign this partition with regards to the increase on our rates, electricity and water, sewage. Our bills are sky high an most of our readings are estimated. We are struggling to even buy food because our municipality bill. I would like to sign to have theses these prices dropped.
Reduce tge bills, we have no power and no water. Because this house as been left and the drug addict were living in this house. We as a family is trying to get the house back in shape
The City is killing people who actually pay for services.
