Reduce Seton Hall IHS Parking Fees

Students pay so much money in tuition to get a good education at a reputable school, that parking should be such a financial burden. With everything we already pay for, and the low budget that we have, lowering the price of parking passes would be very beneficial, particularly to those students who do not have good financial situations and make the Seton Hall experience as a whole more enjoyable.

Students didn't ask for this medical school to be built. Personally I think that all the students who committed to SHU before this medical school was a thing should be grandfathered from going there. It's ridiculous. No housing, no gym, no food, and they're charging this much money? Horrible. Seton Hall should be ashamed.

Although some people such as nursing students or students who work at the South Orange campus will still need to park at both locations. However, SHU should definitely have more affordable options (500 is absurd). This is especially true for students exclusively parking in the Nutley campus or people who only need to go to the IHS campus a couple times each week!

And a new gym membership plz? We pay for that gym all the way in South Orange can't we have something by us in Nutley?

I am so disappointed to see this additional charge to my daughter. You already inconvenience these students by splitting their classes across two campuses, and now to add insult to injury, you are making them pay an additional amount for this annoyance...please reconsider this charge.

It’s ridiculous. Let’s be reasonable. For starters it shouldn’t be the same price for resident and commuter for this new campus. There’s no dorm so there’s no such thing as a resident pass. Let’s be reasonable to these kids. college is a place to study and grow as a human being. There’s already plenty of fees that are unnecessary thstbare being collected. I understand college is a business but let’s not take it out on the kids and faculty who are coming in to make this world a better place.

SHU continues to disappoint me in the way that it has handled its students' concerns and needs regarding the opening of the IHS campus. Many students are already in financial stress because of the tuition increase, costs relocating or moving to the Nutley area, and meeting transportation costs to the IHS campus (purchasing a vehicle if they didn't have one before, public transportation, etc). On a side note, does anybody know if SHU is still planning on providing a daily shuttle service between the Nutley and South Orange campuses twice a day for students who will continue to live in South Orange? I haven't heard any updates about that.

Fall and Spring parking pass for SO is $300, only going to be in Nutley campus for two days, so add another $200! Ridiculous.

We should not have to pay a cent more than other students. Most will only be on the new campus 1-2 time's a week which we will not pay and extra 200 dollars for!

As a parent of a student in your speech pathology program, this rate is exuberant to say the least and doesn’t make sense to those who may not utilize the parking on a consistent basis. You must provide these students with other options and rate schedules at once! SHU/IHS should be ashamed of yourselves!
