The university has agreed to adjust the parking fees to better reflect our specific needs at the Nutley campus. This outcome confirms that our collective persistence was necessary to shift the perspective of the administration. I appreciate the time each of you contributed to bring this financial burden to their …

We have invested thousands of dollars in our education at Seton Hall and are proud of the education that we received.

Recently, we received an email with the parking fees for the upcoming year. We are extremely disheartened to see the fees of $485 plus tax for the IHS campus for fall-summer. This parking permit is reflecting the expenses of South Orange, Nutley, and Hackensack Meridian Hospitals.

We understand that Hackensack has set the permit prices for the new campus as we are now affiliated with the institution.

We understand that our education is a great investment, however, being binded into paying this much for a parking pass is an unfair and impractical added expense.

Most of us are attending higher education programs to better ourselves and are responsible for MANY expenses right now, having just completed undergraduate and many of us, moving into the area to be closer to school.

We do not see the need in having to pay over $500 (with tax) for a parking permit because it’s granting me access to hospitals and two campuses, one of which most of us will NOT need

This is a petition proposing that the IHS students at Seton Hall be granted a lower rate for a parking pass- one that is just reflective of parking expenses at the Nutley campus

We are asking the Seton Hall and Hackensack work together to please take into consideration the financial burdens of many of your students right now.

The feedback I have received from many of you highlights the frustration of managing these additional costs while pursuing our degrees. I am currently organizing the concerns shared here to present them formally to the administration. Your willingness to articulate the financial reality of this policy confirms that we are seeking a fair and manageable solution.

I am a part time commuting PhD student. Typically I only come to campus once/week. It would be nice if a part time commuter pass was offered at a lower rate similar to what is offered at the main campus

It baffles me...the simple and fair resolution to this would be to charge students for parking on a monthly basis...why is this so difficult to address? Unless the powers that be are only concerned with making money off the already burdened students.

This payment is too high and costly for my daughter. She pays enough on the commute with tolls/gas, to not have a designated spot. The students are already drowning in debt and should not have to worry about such high costs to be able to get an education. Please reconsider these prices.

I will almost never be on the south orange campus again so it is unfair to charge for the access. In addition, we are paying for a CHANCE to find a parking space. The amount of parking on the IHS campus is seldom.

Seton Hall is taking advantage of their students. Making students come to this campus to take their classes without providing housing makes them all commuters then forcing them to pay $500 for a parking pass.

The overall price of a parking pass for both campus is ridiculous, especially considering most students on this campus will not need access to both the Nutley campus and the South Orange campus. Also, PA students will only be on campus until mid October, making the cost even more ridiculous

Present cost for IHS campus is over 600 dollars this is outrageous for students. Many are working while going to school and the price of parking makes a heavy burden on top of tuition and books

it is ridiculously expensive and doesn’t even cover summer semesters properly
