The city officially denied the permit for the car wash on Irena and Torrance. My neighbors and I can finally breathe easy knowing our streets will remain quiet and safe for our kids. Keep an eye on the planning board just in case they try to push this through again …
We the undersigned oppose the construction of any Car Wash located on the corner of Irena Ave. and Torrance Blvd. We believe the development is not in the best interest of our city or local residents. We can do better for our beautiful Beach City!
I have been walking by the corner of Irena and Torrance every day to see if anything changes on the site. The silence from the developers is frustrating but it only confirms that we need to keep our neighborhood concerns front and center. I am meeting with a city official soon to present the concerns you have all shared with me.

Seeing this kind of momentum confirms that I am not alone in wanting to protect the quiet streets where my kids grow up. This neighborhood was never meant to hold a project like this and your response proves that we are a united front.

We have enough car washes in this town. Fix the potholes on Torrance first.

Ruins the character of the neighborhood. Keep redondo beautiful instead of slapping concrete down everywhere.

The safety of the kids walking to school is my main concern. That corner is way too busy to add a business that generates that much car traffic.
