On January 14th a new 2010-2011 middle school redistricting map "2c" was revised and voted on in short order without allowing the community to view or comment on the map. We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to suspend action on New Hanover County Middle School Redistricting Map 2c – revised until the residents of Porter’s Neck Area Neighborhoods and other affected communities are given the opportunity to respond to the new map.

The sponsors of this petition are concerned members of the Northern sector of New Hanover County, NC. We feel the most recent "2c revised" middle school redistricting map was unfairly approved, behind closed doors, and are urging School Board members to allow for public discussion on this map.
