Preserve and regenerate, and reuse– not destroy.

Destroying two walls of the stable block plus building a much larger five storey extension will undermine the conservation zone, and ruin the character of this area.

These buildings are not only interesting from an historical perspective; they are beautiful! people would treat them better if the graffiti was removed.

Please save our built heritage from greedy tax evaders

As a member of an Industrial Archaeology Society in the Midlands I believe that these building be retained and modified for modern day use, thus keeping their industrial heritage and presence for future appreciation and history of the area.

We must keep battling to save London's cultural heritage & quality of life on a human scale.

This building is both important in its own right, and as part of a surviving industrial group, and it makes a positive contribution to the conservation area. It is readily capable of beneficial use and should certainly be retained.

It is vital areas such as this are saved if we are to have any history of ouur industrial past left. It is monsterous when there is plenty of other jerry built areas which could be developed thatthis area is not designated for conservation and renewal whist saving these beautiful industrial buildings. do we never learn! If the developers had had their way, most of what is now deemed wonderful around shorditch, hoxton, covent garden, etc. would not be here, just more glass and steel ego buildings with limited life span and certainly little potential for historic value.

Another front in the battle to convince the planners that it is places like this that make London so interesting!

Cultural heritage is important and architecture is a very visible asset of the human experience, if we lose these markers in time of the past, we stand to lose our bearings in the future.

Generations of my family are from the Hackney area. I would love to see these buildings restored and repurposed.

We only value and regret the passing of our historic built envirnment when only the remnants remain. This must not stop us from fighting the good fight.

Industrial history is as precious as cottages in the Cottwolds and Tudor townhouses where Shakespeare lived. This area needs to be treated with the same respect in one of the earliest industrial areas of London, of which it is the only bit left

Please stop the wanton destruction of our heritage. People come to see historical buildings not modern tower blocks that they can see anywhere.
