As a local resident (Dace Rd) and having use of several workshop in Fish Island, I can only see this sort of development as detrimental to the area, it's culture and the people how live and use the buildings.

It will be a sad day for the areas personality and aesthetic when the wall cranes are removed from swan wharf.. especially when there has been no clear reason explain to do so.

Keep Hackney Wick a creative hub, hate to think of what Hackney Wick will become without affordable space for our creatives.

The buildings should be renovated and keep the area the way it is now. There are far too many modern, ugly and soulless buildings in London. Let's respect the past.

Artists need secure workspace. How can we call ourselves a cultural art diverse city if all the art is made on the outskirts of London. It's devastating to the artists as their work and for that matter the economy as a loss of contribution to it. The Govt wants to see how artists contribute financially.

Change of use to residential and keeping the existing building would be a much better outcome for us local residents

The reason The area has any character is because it does allow artists a place within London to have studios. Lose the artists and lose all the character!
