Reddit handle Camera_dude here. If Reddit wants to remain the "Front-page of The Internet" then a major default sub needs to have mods that hold unbiased community standards. The current /R/news mods have failed this duty during the coverage of the recent mass shooting in Orlando.

Most of the mods on the major subreddits are power tripping douche bags and need to be replaced with people who actually care about providing good content.

The mass deletions of comments that clearly did not break any rules, with cheap excuses that don't hold water, should result in mods getting tossed. News has become a joke.

r/news has been a cesspool for a long time now. Violent threats against authorities, pro-anarchist baloney, conspiracy theories, and general asshattery abound. Mods have been biased for years there. It's a playground for idiots, so this recent censorship is not surprising.

The mods do not deserve to moderate a channel when they so carelessly delete comments aimed to help victims, or comments that provide information about the situation as it happens.
