The news shouldn't have a bias. Moderators should recuse themselves if they can't accept this.

Reddit used to bring me information faster than any other outlet. I literally found out about this shooting from my aunt who called me and saw it on the news hours ago. This is a complete failure by the R/news mods and they need to go.

/r/news mods think they can do anything simply because they're mods and they don't even listen to the people. Please sign and have them removed.

I subscribe to reddits new subreddits to find unbiased sources of current events. Having mods in place that violated this and censor news headlines based on their preference is unacceptable.

the mods of /r/news should prioritize ensuring the quality of news provided to the community, and not prioritize preventing any news from reaching them.

/r/news should be the number one place on Reddit to tune in for news, esspecially when it involves something on the scale of the recent Orlando shooting. In no way should anything be censored (unless it's blanetently incorrect information) or removed. If someone wants to further their own agenda, then they don't deserve to mod a subreddit such as /r/news. The biggest problem I have is the removal or a thread requesting blood donors in the immediate area. Power trips do not belong in the subreddit. I am also supporting the re-modding of the mods abusing/censoring information but since no mod within the subreddit itself is taking action, then an entire replacement of all mods should be taking place. That kind of childish behavior belongs in a satire sub.

Completely unacceptable abuse of censorship powers. Is this the standard of integrity Reddit administrators and directors hold to those moderating not only their general website, but specifically their default subreddits?

Disgusting how I've gone from reading about things first on Reddit to finding out about them hours later on TV.
