Reddit: The Replacement of the r/news moderators
The r/news section of Reddit should be an unbiased, uncensored source of information. After the Orlando Club shooter was found to be a Muslim, any and all threads concerning the incident were locked and/or deleted. The censorship and lack of coverage of the most horrific mass shooting in US history is a disgusting act, and the moderators should lose their privileges.
If replacement is not an option, then the sub should be taken off of the default list. One small group of people should not be able to control the entire news section of Reddit.
If you can share this anywhere on Reddit, please do so!

Something as pressing as the incident in Orlando can't be handled properly or adequately by society unless discussion is allowed. Censorship in this manner only serves to build ignorance, stereotypes, and hatred for unknown groups due to uneducated and unfounded opinion.

i've submitted perfectly legit stories to r/news that were put into the far less popular r/inthenews for no reason at all. i later found those same stories put into r/news afterwards easily gaining thousands of upvotes. I suspect they are taking credit for articles posted by others for themselves.
