Redbridge Roundabout - Petition to the House of Commoms

It has taken us as long as 2 hours to enter the roundabout

Redbridge round about is nightmare for me. Please sort out this issue ASAP.

I think it's a must that, that we the drivers coming out of Red-bridge Lane too are consider to be like other traffic, and should have traffic light s to make our lives safe and help us to joine the traffic at the Red-bridge roundabout. every day my husband and I have to join from this side of the road, it's really scary. I tell you what happened today, I must have waited good 7 minute at the give -way lines to join the round the round about. I wanted to go to A12, there was no way the traffic was allowing me to join. I decided to join in the left lane , then signeled my intension to change lane so that I could go to A12. A big white van driver no way was allowing me to get in front of him , even though I didn't forced him to stop. the van driver raced like mad man, that could have caused a serious accident, i like to say i am a paceint and car full driver, but that would have been a nasty accident. please do something good by installing the traffic light .

I have several decades of driving experience and travel frequently to all parts of London and beyond. I am not being alarmist when saying that I can not think of a more dangerous entrance to a roundabout than the one at the end of Redbridge Lane East. The sequence of the existing traffic lights and the regular 'running the red light', especially from the the North Circular slip-road, means that at best one has just a few seconds to enter the roundabout; and, as a result, drivers are clearly taking risks that they would not take in different circumstances. As a result of the traffic queue that builds up in Redbridge Lane, it is not unusual to see impatient Flash Harrys bypassing the queue by driving on the wrong side of the road. I am baffled as to why the authorities have not attempted to resolve this problem. I would like to see the installation of traffic lights at the end of Redbridge Lane, or, at the very least, an alteration got the sequencing of the existing lights to allow more time to enter the roundabout safely.

it is an extremely serious problem to get through that bottle neck every morning and evening.

Redbridge Roundabout is so dangerous as we take our life in our hands whenever we use the roundabout and that is after queing to get onto the roundabout. It is also a serious health hazard and is affecting the lives of all the local residents. I think somethings hould be done and quickly!

I am very happy to sign this petition as some action needs to be taken to ease the conjestion in Redbridge Lane by the phasing of the lights to allow exit safely on to the roundabout. I am particularly concerned about the amount of cars driving at high speed from half way down Redbridge Lane East on the wrong side of the road to reach the outer lan of the traffic entering the roundabout. This is not only illegal it is dangerous and causes accidents and arguements and often holds up traffic entering Redbridge Lane from the roundabout.

Redbridge Council need to take action NOW

This is a dangerous road leading to the roundabout and will kill someone.

Some thing had to be done about this roundabout put a tragic light or delay the other lights so the tragic from redbridged lane go .

I have used this rounabout for the last 10 years and the situation is quite frankly appalling. I fully agree with the proposals - At a bare minimum longer all red phase to give a chance for more cars to exit onto the roundabout from Redbridge Lane East. Camera's will definitely need to be put on the lights as people are continuously jumping the lights. The best solution would be to put lights on the RLE exit - after all this is proven to be a heavily used exit. If you want to go anywhere involving this roundabout you have to factor in 30mins plus! This needs to be fixed, it's a danger to all who use or are near the roundabout.

The sooner the better for all in the area.

I approach the Redbridge Roundabout from Roding Lane South when I leave work at Roding Hospital. I dread going on to the Redbridget Roudabout as there are no traffic lights and there is only a very small gap in the traffic to allow traffic onto the Roundabout. You take your life in your hands when you enter the roundabout as drivers coming round after the lights have changed on the rounabout have no patience and it is very fightening to be cut up by other cars. Something needs to be done to make this a safer rounabout.

Something needs to be done to improve the safety and trafic flow of the roundabaout

This is the most difficult junction i know in this country to get access to a roundabout. Because of the difficulty it forces people to drive through the residential areas to avoid it.

The Redbridge roundabout is nightmare and alway has been. It is an accident waiting to happen....and several have already. The speed and impatience of the drivers is very high as it takes so long to gain access

The delays and devastating effects on the local area is disgusting and something needed to be done years ago. Whatever can be done at this time, sooner rather than later, must and will be helpful to ease this plague.

We really need a solution to this to prevent accidents and traffic congestion
