Redbridge Roundabout - Petition to the House of Commoms

Something needs to be done.

I think this is a dangerous roundabout especially the Redbridge Lane East junction,something has to be done about this as a priority.

This roundabout is so dangerous especially for anyone trying to g et on it from Redbridge Lane East. As there are no lights and with the sequence of other lights as they are at present one takes their life in their hands to get onto the roundabout. It is also difficult going into Redbridge Lane EAst from the roundabout as there is usually a hold up of traffic filtering back onto the roundabout.

Access to the roundabout from Redbridge Lane East must be addressed urgently. Gants Hill roundabout was made so much safer some years ago with appropriate highway engineering. In the case of Redbridge it is only this one access road that requires to be addressed.

I live on Redbridge lane East,My daughter attends Wanstead high school, a jouney that should take 5 minutes max, we have to leave 45 mins early and go the long way round via charlie browns up to wanstead high street in order to get her there in time. It can take 15mins to be able to get off of your drive this traffic is not acceptable, it makes it miserable for the residents of Redbridge. It affects our lives in so many ways, visitors unable to come at certain times, not being able to go anywhere left out of my home. its a disgrace that a simple delay of the lights changing on the 406 give us a better quality of life. I also suffer from asthma and the constant traffic outside my door makes my breathing difficult .

IT IS NOW TIME TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS TIMING

All that is needed is a slight alteration of the timing of the traffic lights.

The whole exit from Redbridge Lane East needs to be realigned. The 'mouth' of the junction is too small and should be widened. This could be achieved by using the space now occupied by the Taxi carpark. The taxis can wait in the current large car park. The whole junction should be included in the traffic lights. Busses should be given a dedicated lane to join the junction returning eastbound routes to a stop outside of the station. This would be much better for passengers continuing their journey rather than the long uphill trudge/ walk to the present site of the stop.An unpleasent experience in bad weather. The pelican pedestrian crossing should be moved to a site opposite the shops. This will allow better and safer access to the shops for people leaving the station and residents on the south side of the road. All these actions will go a long way to resolve the problems that are now so bad.

I like to think I am a confident driver but trying to reach the roundabout from Redbridge Lane East is ridiculous most of times! Often I have had to add 20 minutes to my journeys for something that should take no more than a few minutes. Also there some drivers often jumping the queues by driving on the wrong side which is dangerous. Buses sometimes have to push in (from station) and sometimes cause a standstill waiting for other cars to get out of way!

You must have a death wish to use this exit on this roundabout. it would much easier for me to use this route to get to work but I always go to Charlie Brows and up to the Green Man roundabout instead to get onto the A12. I am a competent driver but I tried it once one morning and would never do it again.

The roundabout needs an overhaul.the exit near red bridge tube station is so cramped and with no traffic light causes congestion even on the roundabout itself. Also the lanes can be widened

I support this changes are needed on this roundabout.

rooudabout is very dangerous, it needs addressing asap, I have witnessed several accidents every week, its a nightmare!!! TFL sort it!!
