Restore Gun Rights in Red Rock Canyon

There is no rational reason to treat this particular location as different from any other federally managed lands that are open to the public.

This arbitrary rule presents safety and self-defense risks for no appreciable public safety benefit. Please, remove this unnecessary rule and join the rest of the National Park system.

Emergency situations can come at any time unannounced, seconds count and could mean the differance between life and death !!

Bad guys don't obey the law!

Please change the firearms restrictions to allow loaded firearms in the Red Rock National Conservation Area.

DEFEND FREEDOM! Victim disarmament is not "common sense". Law abiding citizens should be afforded due process. No infringement without probable cause!

It's time we all stand up for our rights. The BLM should repeal this law. If I can carry on other BLM land legally, my and our collective rights under the Constitution are being violated.

This issue negates common sense.

Red Rock should follow State and Federal laws regarding the carrying of firearms, in that... if it is legal for a person to carry a loaded firearm in the state and federal lands, it should be legal in Red Rock.

I hope someone takes the time to read this, and takes into consideration the sincere concern our community has regarding the proposed development. The thought of the light, smog, pollution, litter, crowding and traffic impact on a beloved national park is devastating. As our local economy continues to recover from the Recession, made worse from our real estate bubble, we don't need even more houses - we need to protect our beautiful natural recreation and conservation areas that draw in tourism and bring community pride and enjoyment. It is also upsetting to consider the impact on the Mountain's Edge and Rhodes Ranch communities, who have been identified as one of the top five "boom towns" of the nation. Already Clark County and commercial development have significantly struggled to install the needed infrastructure fast enough to support these existing homes. It is, in my opinion, nothing short of irresponsible to introduce the unneeded development to an already over developed area, and negatively impact a generationally beloved natural landmark. Please reconsider developing Red Rock, as this is not in the best interest of Nevadans, or tourists who enjoy hiking/climbing/beholding our one-of-a-kind natural wonder! Thank you so much.

Protect our rights!

The law makes no sense seems like its just another way to harass and fine inocent lawbiding Nevada residents and visitors.

Please give law abiding citizens that choose to carry firearms the same chance to protect ourselves the same chance that criminals unlawfully have without regard to this requirement!

One reason we have our Second Amendment is to protect our own lives and property (from tyranny or idiots looking to do us harm). Only criminals will be looking to do harm with any weapon in places where weapons are prohibited (or severely limited). Law abiding citizens would be left defenseless, thus providing the government with a potential lawsuit to deal with. Our Second Amendment is pretty clear. "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." and the word "bear" is defined as "carry".

The 2nd Amendment isn't a smorgasbord right. It was the 2nd amendment to the Constitution of the United States because next to the right to free speech it was considered by the Founding Fathers to be that important. As soon as citizens are unarmed, those in power can do anything they want with no resistance.

BLM lands are suppose to be public lands. Its our land !
