Dirk and I had our first child in the same year, and while I had a daughter, she too has grown up with numerous Star Wars references and is counting the days down to the release.
I can think of nothing more magical than a father to share one of his passions with his children, especially, when a franchise has been around as long as this one and continues to inspire current generations with new releases.
Dirk and family are very deserving of all the generosities Mr. Abrams has to offer.

I saw the 1st Star Wars movie with my dad when I was 6 years old. He loved sci-fi and I grew to love it too. It's a special thing to share with a parent. My dad is gone now and I miss having him here to share these things. I hope this family is able to receive their wish and make this beautiful last memory.

I lost my father to cancer while in college. There are so many things I wish I could have done with him up to this point but I'm so glad to have the memories of the things we did get to do. My heart goes out to you and your family.
