This is petition is to bring to light the need for Red Deer to have its own Catheter Laboratory. We currently are serviced by our good neighbours in Edmonton and Calgary that have the facilities to do this life saving procedure.  We have the medical doctors and the medical knowledge here we just need the necessary equipment and facilities.  AS will be demonstrated there is a strong arguement to have a local lab in Red Deer to service the local central alberta community but also to decrease the mortality rate of one of the highest if not the highest cause of death amongst Canadians - Heart Disease.
