Don’t Let New West City Hall Put Our Recycling Depot in the Trash!

this is not right, getting rid of something good

Please do not dispose of this community-centered, small, recycling gem in this beautiful city. What a shame to even consider closing it down.

Should stay where it is.

This the kind of thing this city needs to keep being clean. Stopping it would reflect consequences in the way of garbage in the back alley ways and the not so busy streets. As a resident I'm currently battleing with neighbors and there lack of cleanliness and effort to maintain their property clean. This decision will certainly make all that effort pointless.

Keep it local. It’s our city and we should have such a facility.

Please don’t close our recycling depot! It will lead to more plastic in the garbage. Or oceans are choking as it is!

Keep the recycling depot open!

I am very disappointed about this change which will brings the Newest back alleys clogged with junk and overloaded garbage containers. Personally I think that is a bad decision from Our mayor.

I use this place often.

We’re would we have to go for Recycling then waist more gas and pollute Just to do the Right thing

I regularly use this depot for work but on Mondays and Tuesdays when it's closed and I absolutely must recycle then Coquitlam is my 2nd option. That depot is hectic to get to as you have no choice but to cross the worst intersection in NW to get there, you might have to sit and wait for a train to pass and the depot itself is already too busy. There was a nasty traffic jam I had to sit through right at the entrance and that wasn't the first! Word has it that Cote said it's only a 5 minute difference in travel time from our existing depot in New West

Lots of people in the niebourhood will not travel a long distance to dispose of thier recycle they will just throw it out with the garbage

The cost for the convenience to NW citizens seemed very reasonable. I used the service regularly. Was one of the few city benefits I felt my tax dollars were being spent well. Very displeased with shortsighted Counsel.

Every city should have their own recycling depo that is easily accessible.

Please keep our recycling Depot open.

I use this recycle weekly. It needs to remain in New Westminster for New Westminsterites.
