There is also a weight restriction on Church Hill but countless overweight and large vehicles use it as a rat run either ignoring the signage or not seeing the signage because it is inadequate which I have made the council aware of but they won't spend the money upgrading the signage like the one on Bunbury Rd which isn't needed!

We live at 150 Church Rd. We frequently see people driving the wrong way when driving on this stretch to get home. My wife was involved in a crash with a driver going the wrong way. It damaged my wife’s neck/back. It is very dangerous for drivers and pedestrians alike. People drive the wrong way on a daily basis, particularly during early morning rush hour to avoid the queue to Bunbury Road.

Someone drove straight into me as I was coming round the corner of Old Moat Drive /Rectory Road, wrote car off . Have contacted police several times as keep seeing cars nipping through. Very pleased petition set up: hope this sorts it.

I support this, although an even simpler solution is just to place a camera at both ends. Drivers who drive down the wrong way are fined. There is only a problem at peak times of the day when drivers are too impatient to wait....

This problem extends to Church Hill where I have experienced drivers driving the wrong way from Rectory Road, past the Stone and round the blind corner crashing into me driving up the hill! I support this petition.

I walk along this road every day taking my kids to school, i have had several near misses with cars traveling the wrong way. I believe that they know it is one way and chose to ignore the signs as they only seem to do this when there is a que up church hill

the only answer to the problem is to close the road to traffic by putting bollards at each end of the road this would make it safe toe and children going to local school

Very dangerous corner but reckless drivers going the wrong way is just unacceptable and they should be caught and punished

I suggest that anyone who can take a phone of offending drivers / vehicle registrations emails these to the police.

We saw two people drive the wrong way yesterday morning (5.2.18) as children were coming to school. One very near miss with a car coming in the right direction. So dangerous
Please improve safety.
