As a current college student at the College of Southern Maryland studying Exercise and Sports Science, I am seeking participants to follow my proposed movement for Southern Maryland.

There have been numerous arrests for drugs (mainly). As there are other crimes, this is one crime in particular that has been climbing. Many high school students get involved in crimes such as drugs mainly because of boredom or to try and be cool. This is a well known issue and it is creating more problems for the state because the students do not have another way of "having fun". Along with the drug and crime issues, another is obesity. We have a few recreational fields, but none of which produce a total "safe" environment. I propose that to solve these issues, that there should be some sort of recreational center built for students in order to keep them out of trouble, focused in school and to promote fitness. My vision is a center that contains a work room with computers/Wi-Fi for students to work on their school work, as well as a gym, a basketball court and a soccer/football/baseball field. I have done a fair amount of research on places that have these types of facilities and some charge a small fee per month, while the other facilities solely rely on donations.

Please join me in my move for a better environment for students to have fun and keep out of trouble to enable Maryland residents to sustain a peace of mind.
