It is very shocking that St. Mary's does not already offer the alumni some membership to the Joseph Alioto Recreation Center. Santa Clara University , Holy Names University and Mills College have offered this to alumni for as long as I can remember. As an alumnus from two of these schools it is such a pleasure to go back and use the facilities as well as support my alma maters.
I know that the Alioto Family would want to welcome the alumni to use this facility with a membership fee and encourage their support and appreciation for the wonderful Saint Mary's College.

I would still like to be able to use the Rec center we waited ever so patiently for, for more than just a week after I graduate! Thanks!

1. When I chose this school, I was told the rec center would be open by spring my freshman year. This was one of the deciding factors in my college decision process and a promise that was not fulfilled.
2. I've been to the gym this summer and there is NO ONE there. There is plenty of room so there is no reason for seniors to be prohibited from using the gym, not a single valid reason as far as I'm concerned.

I love the facility, and think it isn't right that we cannot use this, even for a fee after graduation.
