As we all watched the Iowa caucus come down the wire, news stories started appearing referring to "poll-packing", 91 uncounted precincts, and 6 coin-tosses won by the Clinton campaign to win the last precincts of the night. For such an important election there is absolutely no reason why any even seemingly shady practices should be allowed to happen. With such a huge focus on fairness and equality in this election for 6 precincts to be decided by coin tosses is ridiculous on its own, and the fact that Hilary Clinton won all 6, a near statistical impossibility, shows that at the least a recount should be done in those districts. Therefore I ask on behalf of the Sanders campaign, the democratic party, and on behalf of all the voters out there who are tired of simply accepting these types events as the way things are that a recount of the full Iowa caucus is done so that the democratic leadership can prove they are committed to a fair and open election.
Thank you and please get out and be politically active this election cycle,
Samuel Eglow
If this is the best Iowa can do, we need to end this crap and go to a straight primary.
