Agree with all commenters here, this is a very dangerous intersection. We should at a minimum make it a three-way stop if not reconstruct it altogether.

This location is an accident waiting to happen. Even when entering 165th with caution there have been several times I've seen someone speeding towards me that I did not see until starting to turn. Family members who have visited always comment at how dangerous the location is and the fear of entering the area. Because there is an elementary school off this entrance the chances of an accident with a child in the car are high. SEVERAL times I have been in the car with my children with close calls. With the expansion of the area and increased traffic this change is a must!

Because so many of the drivers using this intersection and roadway are high school aged, we feel a dangerous situation is even more critical. Our family avoids this intersection entirely.

I signed previously without a comment and have been monitoring the discussion. I am finding the feelings of each and every one of you are equally as strong and just want to say that each close call one of us has can be multiplied by the many motorists who drive this road each day, live in al the neighboring communities, go to and from the schools. As conscientious as we all try to be, there are still reports of close calls and there is no margin for error whether you knwo this intersection or not. I don't know how anybody can sleep at night after suggesting that this project should be put on hold. I'd like to encourage each of you to share this petition and get the word out any way you can via email or social media. Each day that goes by, I am haunted by thoughts of what could happen if no action is taken on the part of the highway department.

As a parent of a new driver, my concern is so great that I will not allow my 16 year old to use this dangerous entrance/exit to drive to school. She must drive a mile out of the way to avoid this intersection.

As a Mill's Farm resident, I agree that this intersection is dangerous. The city has recognized that there is a blind spot but are unwilling to correct the problem at this time. Hopefully it will be fixed before someone dies there.

I agree with the concerns already expressed. Quivira has school traffic to/from the High School and Middle School on 175th plus the Elementary School in Mills Farm. It is clearly not a safe intersection today.

I am very concerned about this intersection. The visibility is very poor and the potential of accidents occurring here is very high. I would like to see stop signs placed on Quivira in both directions in addition to the one already in place on 165th Street.

This intersection is definately dangerous for both directions. Have had several close calls, hopefully there will not be a tragic accidents there before the city decides to take any action at this location. Not only with all the new homes recently built or being built in Mills Farm there is also a great increase in Polo Fields and Summerwood.

I have been concerned about this intersection since we started Timber Creek in 2011. Very dangerous especially with teenagers driving from the highschool!

I live in Mills Farm and must use this intersection everyday. When approaching 165th from the North on Quivira it is difficult/impossible to see oncoming traffic as you prepare to turn into Mills Farm. With high speeds along Quivira this blind intersection is especially dangerous.

My daughter and son-in-law live in Mills Farms Meadows. We visit them regularly. We have to be very cautious at the entrance because of the blind spot just south of the intersection. We have several near misses. Changes need to be made before there is a serious accident.

I work in Blue Valley and ride my bike past this intersection at least once a week. There are no sidewalks anywhere in the area, and everytime I ride by this intersection, I rely on the good judgement of the drivers for my safety. With as many children and teenagers who use this intersection, it is crucial that the city improve the safety.
