My name is Darrick Ingram. I was recently expelled from the Art Institute of Charlotte under charges of posing a threat to myself as well as the campus. I disagree with these accusations, for I have made no threat toward anyone, and I was placed under 24-hour observation at CMC Psychiatric Emergency Department. In this clinic I was visited by 3 different doctors, observed, evaluated, and diagnosed "patient at time of discharge is not a threat to himself or campus." I suspect that there has been foul play by my room mate, who turned me in as a threat, because he had been angry with me for longer than a week, but I had not known the nature. However, Many of our mutual friends explained to me that he had been speaking negatively about me. Also, on the night I was admitted into the hospital, the room I shared with my room mate was searched and he was found with ninja weapons but was neither evicted nor expelled, which goes against the school code.
