I had to move from bc where I was born and raised because I would never be able to afford to buy a home. Now living in alberta I had hoped I would be able to. You would take that chance away!

I am in complete agreement The more lenders the more competition the better it is for us the consumers.

People should have the right to access non-bank lenders as well. Non-bank lenders have offered many advantages to consumers in the past so why not let them keep their competitive edge. Let's support each other and fight for non-bank lender's rights to flexible options!

We've been working so hard and dreaming to own a house. Please don't kill our dreams and be a renter for the rest of our lives.

Focus on credit card companies with their 20% interest rates! Our mortgage industry is strong because it is competitive

One day we are being told that variable rates are based on the BOC ratesl. Now we are being told that the BOC does not matter when it comes to raising variable rates. When is the Finance Minister going to reign in the banks and their cheating ways. You won't will you? You are just like Flaherty's bunch. Screw the little guys. Well I vote and this makes me, a liberal supporter, now look at the NDP.

Am totally against this.... limits my ability to earn. Extremely bias and unfair.

The new guidelines have placed an unfair penalty against those with no debt outside the mortgage, encourages high rate borrowing based on lower payment than the minimum payments on lower rate borrowing, and is detrimental to those buying in the lower price range. Big banks are already taking advantage. Scotia Bank offered my client renewal at 1/2% higher than the going rate knowing client would be concerned about qualifying under the new stress test.

I am in agreement with this ridiculous government ruling. Their failure to take action on housing price years ago have resulted in them taking our lively hood away for their mistakes. We need to fight against this ruling.
