Why does the government feel the need to destroy people's lives and make it harder to live in this great country. People worked hard to establish their careers and the government only takes it away to help the big 6 banks. Embarrassing.

Competition Bureau needs to step in and intervene. The new regulations are so lopsided that the Big Banks will have an unfair advantage. It will result in fewer options for consumers and poor service.

Changes are being made to quickly! Changes are harming people that already have preapprovals for their new homes in 2017-they now no longer qualify after October 17th? How are these people supposed to find a larger downpayment, and they are committed to their offer to purchase!? Yes changes need to be made, in a democratic structure. However, this change is not structured for positive change. We need to implement a gradual introduction and steps/dates for change to happen, this would be better suited for our mortgage customers and society on a whole!

The rules go way beyond controlling home prices in Toronto and Vancouver. It jeopardizes the economic stability that makes Canadians so proud of being Canadian.

We are destroying first home buyer options and forcing them to continue renting. Spending thousands a year that will go no where. Very sad.

Smaller communities where there is no supply of affordable homes and jobs are mostly retail will never be able to buy a home now. Average home cost to build from buying the land to completion is not under $300k. Average wages for Retail Service Jobs is $12.50 per hour. Thanks
