The decision was not well thought out or researched. All of Canada should not be penalized for Toronto & Vancouver housing markets

The rest of Canada doesn't need to suffer to control volatile markets like Vancouver and Toronto.

The rules did not have to be so harsh to kill real estate market and further the economy.

Please stop this new regulation. It's hard enough for FTHB, to purchase a home. Housing is suppose to be affordable for Canadians.
Government continues to speak about Affordable Housing for Canadians.
"We will make it easier for Canadians to find an affordable place to call home.
Today, one in four Canadian households is paying more than it can afford for housing, and one in eight cannot find affordable housing that is safe, suitable, and well maintained.
When affordable housing is in short supply, Canadians feel less secure and our whole economy suffers.
We will renew federal leadership in housing, starting with a new, ten-year investment in social infrastructure."
"Our government envisions an Ontario where every person has an affordable, suitable and adequate home. Through Ontario’s Poverty Reduction Strategy, the government has set a bold long-term goal to end homelessness" Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs.

The lack of industry, consumer, and taxpayer consultation on these regulations is shockingly undemocratic. The consequences are disruptive and destructive.

New mortgage rules going to keep entry level purchasers renting and paying the mortgages of the top 5 % who will not require these rules to buy, homes or rentals.
Look at the Ontario and National debt first please.
CRA rules good news.

If the government wants to try and control the amount of debt people have maybe they should look at the credit card companies, vehicle loans, etc. Changing mortgage criteria is not the answer.
how much more can the government take from us
