Reconsideration for Father Sutter's Transfer

Bishop - LET HIM STAY !!! - since meeting Fr Sutter over 1 yr ago - I have gotten to know a man that has made an impact on not only St Patrick Parish but the students at St Pat's, Holy Trinity and Charlotte Catholic - His personality has endeared him to the students and families. I an a former parishioner of St Pats who recently considered rejoining the parish mainly because of meeting Father Sutter. please reconsider - Thank you

Hello Bishop Peter, I hope you are doing fine. Thank You for all the recent changes to get then newer generation and even the older more involved in church services and activities – For E.g. the energized young adult ministry, camps, etc. Thanks for all the great work that you and your priests have been doing and continue to do. Fr. Sutter has been at the center of many of these initiatives along with Fr. Roux and others. He has had a significant impact in connecting with the community especially the younger crowd – students here and elsewhere. He does this primarily with his social nature, proactively reaching out and always being there when needed. Also, his Homilies are among the best that one can hope to hear because they are centered around some key takeaway messages each Sunday and he makes it relatable by providing real life examples from his own life or lives of people he has encountered. He also keeps the homilies very interesting ensuring he has attention of our future generation – our kids. Please allow me to kindly request you to reconsider and let Fr. Sutter continue to serve at St. Patrick’s. The very fact that we have this petition and also if you look at all the comments, you can judge for yourself the huge impact Fr. Sutter has had on our community, our kids, the church and school. He has done some great things but he has much more to offer to the parish and school and so we humbly request you to please reconsider this decision. Thanks for your time and consideration! - Rajesh

We need more priests like Fr. Sutter especially working with our kids!!

Fr. Sutter is amazing with kids...he continues to keep up with the St. Pat's kids even at Holy Trinity. He is such an example for all. I would hate for him to leave our school system.

I have had kids at St. Patrick for 9 years and Father Sutter has been the absolute BEST Parochial Vicar we’ve ever had. His love for kids and ability to relate to them is evident in everything he does and he has been a much-needed blessing for this parish. He is sharing his love of Jesus with these kids and making such a positive impact here...it would be such a shame for him to leave now. PLEASE reconsider and let him remain in Charlotte!

Fr. Sutter was an integral part of the St. Patrick School family. From greeting students at carpool to chaperoning field trips to bringing the message of the Gospel to an actionable message on their level to explaining the “what’s” and “why’s” of our faith to inspiring our students on how to live a life of faith...be it as a Priest, Deacon, Sister, or a layperson.

I wholeheartedly support this! He is such a presence at that school and for our children.

Please don’t take him from our kids!!!
