Good day,
I, Reinhardt Ritter
Am writing to express my strong support for the telecommunications service license application submitted by Starlink Internet Services Namibia (Pty) Ltd.
The approval of this application is critical for the advancement of Namibia’s digital landscape for several key reasons:
Rural Connectivity: Starlink provides high-speed access to remote and underserved areas where traditional fiber infrastructure is difficult to deploy, bridging the digital divide effectively.
Economic Growth: Reliable internet is vital for the growth of local businesses, tourism lodges, and educational institutions outside of major urban centers.
Consumer Choice: Introducing a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite provider will foster healthy competition, encouraging better service delivery and competitive pricing across the market.
I respectfully urge the Authority and the Ministry to expedite the review process and grant the necessary approvals to allow Starlink to operate legally in Namibia.
Sincerely,
Reinhardt Ritter

We need this technology to operate our business effectively and to keep our clients, which is wealthy business men who rely on communication while they are away from home, happy. This is not luxury. We don't allways travel and operate in normal areas and we need it to be successful and CRAN can't give it to us. I see this as discrimination against other businesses while CRAN are thriving.

Reasons not valid. Private data all over the social media. Chinese companies own 90%of our mines but that is good. Prevent of growth. Tourism lodges remote and farms struggling.

Starlink is a necessity for the growth of our country. It is a powerful tool to better job oppertunity and provide economic sustainability in businesses. Tourists often come with their starlink mobile hotspot and need to be able to use it here. It's not just internet, it's an investment.
