Because I have witnessed multiple occasions of FSU mishandling assault cases and putting victims needs and wishes last.

No one should be silenced trying to speak their truth about their experience dealing with assault. The offenders should be held accountable for their actions!!

I’m disgusted by the protection universities afford violent criminals and continuously turn a blind eye as if it has nothing to do with them or as if they aren’t neglecting a public safety issue.

I stand with this petition. Sexual assault is not something that should be covered by ANY organization for the sake of their image. Someone I know was assaulted by a chapter from the same Greek organization mentioned and that chapter has done nothing to acknowledge what their brother did. That is something that should not be tolerated. I stand with this petition was created because NO ONE should ever feel like they can’t stand up for what is right or that their voice does not matter. I stand with sexual assault survivors.

Hope this helps! I also was sexually assaulted by a SLB brother from UF. I’m still quiet.

Our college campuses have to create a climate where anyone can come forth and speak safely not feel humilitiated, ashamed, or afraid for their lives for not staying quiet on these traumatic events.
