The SF Eagle was historically and important safe space for the LGBT community and continued to be for the next generation of LGBT members until it’s sudden closure in 2020. It will be sorely missed if it is gone.

Venues like the San Fransisco Eagle need to be recognized as culturally significant and protected. More of this around the world, please :)

The Eagle is a San Francisco staple and part of the culture and community. They provide a safe space for the lgbtq+ communities as well as the kink communities and they have hosted philanthropic events for years.

Please grant historically designated cultural site status to the SF Eagle, it has been the home of the SF Leather community for several decades. It was the location of some of the first fund raisers for those suffering from AIDS and HIV. And continues to provide community support for non-profits. This status will ensure that the SF Eagle will remain open and a foot hold in the leather community.

The bar has helped thousands realize they're not alone, and given they a chance to talk with men. This has been happening for decades.

Such an integral part of the fabric of the community in SF. Hard to believe this hasn’t already happened.
