The SF Eagle has been a focal point of my gay, male, leather identity for over 30 years now. I lived in Seattle when I first began visiting Eagle events, then Cincinnati Ohio and now Palm Springs, CA.

The Eagle is a legendary gay bar. I worked nights dancing here for 3 years. The last night I ever worked dancing I met a boyfriend and I've repeatedly met here for community events such as the SOMA Leather Cultural District and others. We live, work, and organize here. There are almost no gay leather bars left and this is the largest and most known.

The SF Eagle is such an important and historic spot that has aided and supported so many charitable organizations over the years. Life after COVID will not get back to normal without the SF Eagle Sunday Beer Busts supporting SF Nonprofits.

I spent many a-night at the Eagle. Those were good times. The Eagle is a San Francisco institution and should be honored as susch.

Started going there in 1994. It had been always a fun place to be. And have met many people there (mostly bar friends) but a few real friends too. This place needs recognition. Thank you ——Matt
