OTC is our first Elected president. it was the first time that there was a need to vote for a president . Wee Kim Wee was appointed like his predecessor Sheares.

I demand a more substantive explanation (please also address all the other statements and sources stating that OTC was the first elected president and not just gloss over it). If not, then OTC should be Singapore's first elected president.
