Re: Insurance rates as relatedto flood zone areas: The White Cypress Community in Hancock County is currently listed in the same category as Bay St Louis, Waveland and Gulfport and is required to pay the same high insurance coverage because our property is located in Hancock County. The White Cypress Community is approximately 30 miles from the Gulf Coast and had very little damage during Hurricane Katrina. The area is 90' above sea level which would prevent flooding, as seen on the coast.

We, the property owners listed below,feel that The White Cypress Community should not be classified as a flood zone and respectfully request that you review the current flood maps and adjust the lines to more accurately reflect possible flood areas.
