This year Parkside school decided to scrap the summer uniform due to concerns regarding the appearance of the pupils by some parents and the school's management team/Governors. We would like this decision to be seriously reconsidered for the next academic year. We the pupils have felt extremely uncomfortable, hot and sweaty and have found it hard to concentrate in lessons due to having to wear a shirt, tie and blazer. A cotton polo shirt is much more comfortable during the summer term.
