I believe that the teacher did not do wrong. He was celebrating and exprecing how happy with his family is for the UAE Nationa Day. If the teacher was not interested and did not like UAE enough then he wouldn't participate in the National Day celebration with all his good intentions. He even brought his family and they were the best family I could've seen wearing UAE traditional clothes and sharing with us the joy of UAE Spirite of The Union.
I strongly believe that the media had a very negative insight on this. In a matter of fact they should have checked the full story behind this before posting about the video and writing whatever they need.
The person who rised such a video without checking the right needed information is the one to be penalized NOT the teacher.
Media has a big impact and people without having the right information can believe whatever the media can fabricate.
I wish the small minds we have in our society would soon mature and give us a rest.

I found the video to be humorous and not offensive. If people actually took the time to read what actually happened, they wouldn't be so offended over it.

He should not be fired for something he didn't know was supposedly "inappropriate". It was all in good fun.

He is truly and honestly one of the best teachers I have ever came across.. Really hardworking and cares about his students.. I can honestly say that the video that was taken and went viral was nothing but a try from unstable people to cause problems and chaos.. He loves the UAE and loves it's people greatly, the biggest proof is that he and all his family came to celebrate our national day with us.. His wife was so respectful and dressed in a very modest way, his kids also wore and represented a flag of a country that is not even theirs.. We must understand that what happened was their way of expressing happiness and joy for us and our dear country... All the negative comments and extremely hurtful talks that no one deserves to hear were said about him and his wife .. Truly discriminating and awful, which is against the law of this undiscriminating country.. He and his wife spontaneously expressed their happiness but were perceived and looked at differently... If the person who spread that video (which is also against UAE's law btw) really found what they did offensive, she should have calmly and politely spoken to them or spoken to someone within the campus, not gone and negatively tried to ruin the reputation and career of innocent people in public.. I strongly think that the person who filmed the video should be punished for spreading hate and discrimination.. Overall, I totally and completely support my teacher.. He is a great asset to HCT and something silly as this video should not have even been looked at twice!

I dont know the teacher in person but i felt bad for the unfair treatment . He just was happy and he did't do anything wrong!! We all respect him and we hope to see him again in hct . and its not fair

I think , he was happy and expressing his feeling as clear as what we saw. And that happened without undergoing the limits.

I'm not IT student tho but everyone talk about his kindness. We don't want to lose a teacher like him, We really don't want him to leave or be a reason to make him feel guilty because he celebrated with us!!!!
